Person Centered Care Plans to Support Resident-Directed Living
Carmen Bowman, MHS, BSW, Owner, Edu-Catering
Care plans belong to, and should reflect, the person.  Be grounded in ALR regulations and freed from outdated, medical model care planning. Content comes from Changing the Culture of Care Planning: a person-directed approach co-authored by our speaker, a former Colorado assisted living surveyor, covering culture change practices including personalized and “I” care plans and narrative care planning.  Be encouraged to reflect the individualized care you provide in detail on each of your residents' care plans. However, don't focus only on care; good care should be a given. Be challenged to also focus on the life residents are living in your assisted living.

Enrichment on a Budget and Via Zoom
Jack York, Founder, It's Never Too Late
The Covid-19 crisis has brought to the forefront of senior living the importance of staying connected, and the consequences of being isolated.  This session will show attendees how technology can help keep residents and families connected in the midst of the crisis. (and beyond).  You will see a myriad of resources, many of them free, that will help you use technology to keep the connections alive and blossoming.    The session is 100% designed for non-technical individuals, and you will walk away with multiple ideas and solutions for your own setting.  You will walk away with a new set of resources to utilize, and stories of inspiration you can emulate.
